     11 I'm applying for the Enterprise Systems Specialist position at NWACC. I want to be upfront that my
     12 professional job titles have been Software Quality Analyst and Mechanical Testing Technician, not
     13 Systems Administrator. What I bring instead is three years of professional QA experience combined
     14 with years of hands on work designing, deploying, and maintaining my own virtualization, storage,
     15 and network infrastructure, and I think that combination is worth a look for this role.

     17 In my home lab, I've built and manage a multi-host virtualization environment using Proxmox, KVM,
     18 and bhyve, running VMs and containers across Linux and FreeBSD hosts. I've designed ZFS storage
     19 architecture, built multi-destination backup and disaster recovery pipelines with restic and
     20 syncoid, configured firewalls, VPN access, and DNS, and used Ansible to provision infrastructure
     21 in a repeatable, documented way. That's the same category of work this role covers, monitoring
     22 system health, maintaining configurations, and keeping infrastructure reliable and secure, just
     23 without an enterprise badge on it.

     25 I want to be direct about the gaps too. I don't have hands on experience with Microsoft Azure,
     26 Microsoft 365, Intune, or ServiceNow specifically, and my Active Directory knowledge is at a
     27 CompTIA A+ fundamentals level rather than an administrative one. My professional background is also
     28 shorter on formal lead or senior technical experience than the posting calls for. What I can offer
     29 is a real, demonstrated ability to learn infrastructure platforms deeply on my own initiative, along
     30 with the documentation discipline and methodical troubleshooting habits built over fifteen years of
     31 technical testing work.
